Samsung SDI said it will participate in the 9th International Electric Vehicle Expo (IEVE) held at the Jeju Convention Center for four days from the 3rd to the 6th to unveil various mobility products equipped with batteries from Samsung SDI, including electric cars and electric scooters.
More than 200 e-mobility and energy-related companies will participate in the Jeju International Electric Vehicle Expo, which began in 2014 and marks its ninth anniversary this year, and Samsung SDI will be the only battery company to participate.
BMW’s new iX electric car will be displayed at Samsung SDI booth. The vehicle is equipped with Samsung SDI’s Gen.5 (5th generation) battery and has a mileage of 630km (based on WLTP) on a single charge and a zero-back is only 4.6 seconds. Gen.6 battery is a product that is being developed to increase nickel content by 91% to improve energy density by more than 10% compared to Gen.5 currently being mass-produced, and to improve fast charging performance by improving anode materials and construction methods.
